Kazi Mostafa Rumi: Today is May 7. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s second homecoming day.
On this day in 2007, during the state of emergency in the country, he refused the ban and returned home after receiving treatment in the United States.
When Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina arrived at Dhaka International Airport on that day, lakhs of people greeted her.
Therefore, on this historic day, the Awami of South Tangal remembered with deep respect the courageous decision of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the daughter of democracy, the leader of the people of the honorable Prime Minister, Deshratna Sheikh Hasina, to return home for the second time to protect the country’s democracyOne of the stalwarts of politics, the popular leader of the people of Nagarpur Delduar, the struggling vice-president of Bangladesh Awami League Tangail district branch, Tarek Shams Khan Himu.
In this regard, public leader Tarek Shams Khan Himu told the media – In 2007, during the caretaker government supported by the army, when he wanted to return home after treatment in the United States, the caretaker government issued a ban against him. The caretaker government was finally forced to lift the ban due to Sheikh Hasina’s firmness against the ban and the pressure of democracy-loving countrymen. Honorable Prime Minister Jannetri Deshratna Sheikh Hasina returned to Bangladesh for the second time to protect democracy on May 7, 2007 ignoring all conspiracies. In view of which the movement to protect democracy gained more momentum. At one point the caretaker government was forced to back down and hold national elections.
Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s second homecoming to protect democracy is an adventurous decision.
Therefore, on this day, we pay deep respect to the courageous decision of the honorable Prime Minister Jannetri Sheikh Hasina.
I urge everyone to work unitedly to protect the country’s democracy by taking lessons from the courageous decision of the honorable Prime Minister to protect the country’s democracy.
